Pony Club Association of Victoria Advice
To help you get started on your journey with Pony Club, the Pony Club Association of Victoria has provided a number of useful documents that give you insight into how to get started, facts relating to your horse and how to understand all of the other important things that may happy within the club network.
Agistment for Members
WH&PC Agistment
The Mobil Refinery Altona (MRA) Paddock is available, subject to places, to paid members of the Williamstown Horse and Pony Club (WHPC). The paddock accommodates a limited number of horses and is leased by the Williamstown Horse and Pony Club and managed by the Club’s Committee.
One of the Committee Members has responsibility for paddock coordination. Agisting Members and their families have shared responsibilities for group feeding and the upkeep of the facilities such as general maintenance and manure collection. Volunteers are also required for periodic capital improvements.
The privilege of agistment comes with special responsibilities for agisting members and their families. These responsibilities are captured in the Rules below, but generally involve a commitment to share upkeep of the facilities, maintaining their horse or pony in peak healthy condition and to be actively involved in the Pony Club.
Applications must be made in writing to the Williamstown Horse & Pony Club. Applicants will be placed on a waiting list if a place is unavailable.
Agistment is charged on a quarterly basis and includes the agistment charge, public liability insurance, hay for group feeding, water, worming paste and tetanus/strangles vaccine, maintenance and rubbish removal.
